After two years of the first cannabis retailer in Washington opening to the public, and with two legislative sessions with numerous changes, the cannabis industry is in full swing. Presently, the industry exceeds $1 billions in sales. The purpose of this seminar is to review this growing industry, from its start, through the passage of I-502 to SB5052 and HB2136.

The speaker will cover the state versus federal law conflict, current regulations under the States’ Liquor and Cannabis Boards, and the current challenges of adapting current law practice to cannabis in areas of business law, real property, tax, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and employment law.
