Edgar Asebey-Birkholm is Director of the Intellectual Property Group as Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A. and concentrates his IP practice on trademark and copyright prosecution and enforcement. He advises clients on branding and brand protection strategies both in the US and other countries. Mr. Asebey has experience in all aspects of trademark prosecution and enforcement and manages the US and international trademark portfolios for electronics, apparel, dietary supplement and consumer product companies as well as non-profit organization. Mr. Asebey has extensive experience in technology transfer, corporate and transactional matters related to intellectual property and has also negotiated licenses, co-existence agreements and sponsored research agreements on behalf of clients companies.


Mr. Asebey has lectured or presented papers at over 20 national and international conferences and written scholarly and law review articles on various aspects of intellectual property. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Washington D.C. Bar, is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Intellectual Property Section, the Dade County Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association (INTA). Mr. Asebey holds degrees from The University of Chicago (A.B.) and Catholic University of America (J.D.).
