She was elected an officer of the bank after three years. During her time at the bank, she took graduate courses in Finance from Florida International University. She returned to the University of Florida to earn a J.D. degree. After the J.D. program, she attended the LL.M. program at New York University where she earned a LL.M. in taxation.
