Jacob has represented debtors in bankruptcy cases in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington since 2006. He began his career in a small general practice in Pullman, Washington, and has worked in a large consumer bankruptcy firm and in solo practice as The DeGraaff Law Firm, PLLC.

 

He is currently an attorney with John Long Law PLLC in Issaquah, representing debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 13 and individual Chapter 11 cases.

 

His bankruptcy practice is focused on debtors with complex mortgage issues. Jacob earned his JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego in 2005, and his BA from Western Washington University in 2001.

A leading expert in bankruptcy protection, foreclosures, and the mortgage industry, Ms. Henry founded Seattle Debt Law, LLC on the belief that financially troubled individuals deserve fair and honest legal representation in today's high-risk consumer environment. She is a staunch advocate for clients against predatory lenders and unfair debt collection practices, and takes legal action when violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act have occurred.

 

Ms. Henry represents consumer and small business debtors in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcy cases, and negotiates debt with creditors and lenders when that process better serves her clients.

 

A graduate of Dartmouth College and Boston College Law School, prior to Seattle Debt Law, LLC, Ms. Henry represented consumer and small business debtors at Crocker Kuno Ostrovsky, PLLC and residential mortgage lenders at Routh Crabtree Olsen, P.S. in bankruptcy cases throughout Washington State. She formerly served as law clerk to the Honorable Whitney Rimel, Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of California.

 

Ms. Henry is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and sustains her interest in international law. In her free time, she enjoys traveling.
