Debra G. Simms, P.A. - Orlando, FL
Ms. Simms has been practicing law for over 20 years. She earned her law degree in 1987 from Cleveland – Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio where she graduated with honors and participated as an Editor on Law Review. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Ohio State University and her master's degree in Social Work with honors from Case-Western Reserve University. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Simms worked as a social worker in various governmental and private settings.
Ms. Simms was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1997. She has been a member of the Ohio Bar since 1988. She is also licensed to practice in Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida and the Northern District of Ohio.
The law practice of Debra G. Simms, P.A. focuses on the areas of bankruptcy, estate planning, probate, guardianship, special needs law, disability law, elder law, real estate, and family law. She is also a Certified Civil Circuit Mediator, Certified Family Law Mediator, and certified Parent Coordinator in the State of Florida.
Ms. Simms is active in community organizations and lectures on estate planning issues throughout Central Florida. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Seminole County Bar Association, the Vollie Williams Seminole County Inns of Court, the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Florida Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She is also a title agent with the Attorney's Title Insurance Fund, and a legal service provider through AARP.
