Attorney Adam Stone

Jones Walker - Jackson, MS

 

Adam Stone is a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's Jackson office. He is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP), and focuses his practice on complex construction, fidelity and surety, insurance litigation, and complex commercial disputes. Mr. Stone has experience litigating disputes on behalf of contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals, and owners in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. He has also handled complex commercial disputes for several manufacturers with facilities in Mississippi.

 

His practice covers unique aspects of U.C.C. law and disputes related to contracts and payments. Mr. Stone is experienced in Daubert proceedings and has successfully challenged experts in litigation.

 

He authored the Mississippi section of the Guide to State Procurement; A 50 State Primer on Purchasing Laws, Processes and Procedures, published by the American Bar Association in 2011, and co-authored “Green Building Development in Mississippi,” which appeared in the Summer 2009 issue of the Mississippi College Law Review. Mr. Stone has been recognized by Governor Haley Barbour and the Mississippi Development Authority for dedication and support of the Model Contractor Development Program. He also routinely conducts seminars on construction law and bad faith litigation.

Attorney Keith R. Raulston

Mr. Raulston is a partner in the Jackson office of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, L.L.P. Mr. Raulston graduated, Order of the Coif, in 1979 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was a Benwood Scholar and the recipient of eight academic prizes and awards. He then clerked for the Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court.


In his more than 30 years of active litigation practice, Mr. Raulston has been lead counsel for many insurance companies in numerous state and federal cases involving coverage issues arising under a wide variety of policies, both commercial and personal lines. His extensive insurance litigation experience has included the successful defense of many first-party “bad faith” cases involving punitive damages claims. He has been lead counsel in dozens of reported cases in state and federal courts. Among other publications, he is the author of “Metamorphosis of a Big Case,” Miss. Law. (June/July 1999), which recounts his winning closing argument on behalf of the three insurance-provider defendants in the punitive damages phase of a landmark 1995 collateral protection insurance case which was the subject of a front-page Wall Street Journal article and a Sixty Minutes episode.


Mr. Raulston has been listed for more than ten years in the Best Lawyers in America® in eleven different practice areas, including Insurance Law, since 2007 in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in General Commercial Litigation, and since 2006 in Mid-South Super Lawyers in Business Litigation. He has for many years been a frequent speaker on a variety of litigation topics at continuing legal education seminars.

David Stovall is an attorney in the Jackson, Mississippi, office of Wilkins Tipton, P.A, where his practice primarily consists of insurance defense litigation.  Mr. Stovall earned his Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi State University in 2003 and his Masters of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004.  He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007.
