Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor of Arts at Colby College in Maine where he majored in Sociology, and then attended Golden Gate University School of Law where he specialized in Intellectual Property law. During law school, he was a member of ACSEL (Association of Communications, Sports and Entertainment Law) and clerked for a successful boutique Entertainment law firm as part of an externship program. Upon graduating, Mr. Anderson was named the top student in his Intellectual Property program and received an award highlighting this accomplishment.
Prior to joining Patel & Alumit, Mr. Anderson held positions at entertainment companies and large law firms while pursuing interests in entertainment and intellectual property law. Mr. Anderson has represented major companies and individual artists on matters including license agreements, business entity formation, and intellectual property registration and protection.
Mr. Anderson currently specializes in copyright, trademark and entertainment law. His practice at Patel & Alumit involves all aspects of transactional law involving copyright, trademark, entertainment, and business entity formation.
In addition, he also prosecutes trademark applications at the USPTO, and has successfully represented clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in ex parte appeals, oppositions, and cancellations. He has successfully represented clients in ICANN domain name dispute proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
